- Can I send Postal Flowers to the UK or to Europe?
Our Postal Flower range is only available for delivery in Ireland. We send flowers by post to all areas of Ireland. We do deliver flowers to the UK but you need to select from our International Flower range
- Why Can I Post Flowers Only To These Areas?
As we want you to receive your flowers in the best condition possible the mail service to other areas can't provide this,
other areas would be subject to longer delivery times meaning our flowers would not be received in tip top condition.
- How Long Does The Delivery Take?
Normally we would expect the flower to be dispatched from our Depot in the early afternoon and reach the Courier in
the evening. The majority of deliveries are made on the following morning however we can guarantee this. If you need
a guaranteed delivery date you should select from our standard flowers range.
- Do You Deliver On Weekends?
No, we send Monday to Thursday only. Holidays and bank holidays and other special days like mothering Sunday may have exceptions. If you require weekend flower delivery please select from another one of our Same Day Flowers range.
- What Are Your Delivery Deadlines?
Orders have to be received before 1.pm for dispatch that same day.
- What Happens if the Recipient is Not @ Home?
The postman making the delivery can leave the box in a safe place or with a neighbour or they may return it to the sorting office and leave a note requesting collection. Please advise us which option is best.
- Can I Specify A Delivery Time
I am afraid not as these flowers are delivered by Post or Courier it is not possible.
- What happens if I have provided a wrong address?
As this is a postal service Abbey Flowers cannot be held liable for incorrect recipient's addresses. Please make sure that all addresses are complete and correct. Please ensure all addresses are in capital letters and spaced correctly as failure to do this can result in flowers getting lost and we cannot be liable for this.
- Can I Specify a Delivery Date or Time
Whilst every effort is made to make deliveries when requested Abbey Flowers can not be held responsible for delayed deliveries due to factors such as public holidays and or postal strikes and factors within and beyond our control and will endeavour to deliver either before or after dates requested or as soon as is practicably possible.
- Can I get Flowers Delivered To Hospitals & Universities By Post
Abbey Flowers will dispatch to Hospitals & Universities, but at your risk. We do not guarantee delivery to universities, halls of residence, hospitals, companies, shops, military bases, residential homes, mobile home parks, schools and institutions as there is a higher incidence of deliveries not reaching the recipients at such institutions. Should you require a guaranteed delivery please select from our standard range of bouquets and arrangements.
- How big are the flowers?
Size of the flowers will vary with the many different varieties. We send our flowers in a 'tight bud' that way they are less likely to be damaged and will last longer. The flowers will still be growing and the size of the bloom will increase as normal.
- Where do the flowers come from?
Many of our flowers are grown in Holland but we source others from the most reliable growers in different parts of the world.
- How are the flowers packed and dispatched?
The flowers are securely packed into boxes with cotton moisture wraps to the stems. They require a little attention upon receipt. They stems should be cut and the flowers placed in deep cold water to re-hydrate them. The boxes contain full instructions for treating the flowers and also a sachet of flower food to prolong vase life.
